The first annual Rocky Road Challenge Endurance Runs will consist of two simultaneous 50-mile events: the 50-mile Rocky Road Endurance Run, and the feature Rocky Road Challenge 50-mile Endurance Run. There will be a marathon and half-marathon event as well.

These races will take place on two different courses, but will share common start/finish areas, some trail sections, and aid stations. The Rocky Road 50 will continue to be run on the new horse trail-only course used this past February. The Rocky Road Challenge course, however, will be much tougher, with technical single track sections, and significantly more elevation gain/loss. In a unique feature, Rocky Road Challenge runners may opt to drop down to the easier Rocky Road Endurance course at any time during the event, but the transition must be at the start/finish area. Both courses feature 15-mile legs; the Rocky Road course is an out-and-back, while the Challenge course is a loop. Both will share a common 2.5 mile out-and-back section at the end of the race.

two unmanned aid stations which are passed multiple times throughout the race.  Plenty of fun.

Take I-5 South and exit at Oso Parkway. Drive to Antonio Parkway and turn left. At Coto de Caza Drive, turn right and go to the guard shack. Tell them you are with the Charlie Alewine group. Go through the guard shack and drive a little less than a mile to the first stop sign. Coto de Caza Sport Park will be on the right. Drive up and park in the dirt parking lot on the left.

The mail-in application below the Rocky Road 100 Endurance Run is for all the races.
